Daniel Burgos

Prof. Dr. Daniel Burgos works as a Full Professor in Technologies for Education & Communication, and Vice-rector for International Research, at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja. In addition, he holds the UNESCO Chair on eLearning, and the ICDE Chair in Open Educational Resources. He works also as Director of the Research Institute for Innovation & Technology in Education (UNIR iTED). His interests are mainly focused on Educational Technology & Innovation: Adaptive/Personalised and Informal eLearning, Learning Analytics, Social Networks, eGames, and eLearning Specifications. He has published over 150 scientific papers, 4 European patents, 15 authored books and 20 edited books or special issues on indexed journals, on these matters. He is or has been involved in +55 European and Worldwide R&D projects.

Manuel Fandós

 

Manuel Fandós holds a PhD in Psychopedagogy from the University of Huelva, a degree in Educational Sciences from UNED and in Ecclesiastical Studies from the Pontifical University of Salamanca. He has been EOEP counselor and director in private and public centers and centers of teachers and resources of the Ministry of Education (CPR). He is currently the Coordinator of the Area of General Didactics, Teaching Practice and Organization of Centers, for the Postgraduates of the Faculty of Education of UNIR. His research is focused on the analysis and methodological possibilities, as well as in the didactic use of ICT and media in education.

 

Shila Ganguly

 

Shila Ganguly works at the International Project Office in the Vice-Chancellorship for International Research. She manages European and International research and innovation initiatives. With more than 8 years of experience, she has run Research and Development Projects since 2014, being involved in chemical and educational national work programmes (CDTI, ICEX or Ministry of Economy) and European Programmes (Erasmus+, H2020).

Jose Carlos San Jose

 

Jose Carlos San Jose works as Head of ICT development at the Vice-Rectorate for International Research (UNIR Research) and at the Institute for Research, Innovation and Educational Technology (UNIR iTED). He works on several European projects and other specific projects of the Vice-Rectorate (MEDICI, OpenGame, EXALT, etc.). He has extensive experience in teaching Computer Science, a subject in which he is a senior technician. He has developed applications for several projects and companies such as Telefónica or the General Council of Spanish Lawyers (CGAE).

Constanza Ruiz

 

Constanza Ruiz holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and she is accredited by ANECA as a doctoral assistant. She has a Master’s degree in Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology and a Master’s degree in Teacher Training. She also has a degree in Chemistry from the University of La Laguna. She has taught Physics and Chemistry and Mathematics in Compulsory Secondary Education and High School and she is currently teaching at the Faculty of Education of UNIR.

María Fernanda del Real

 

María Fernanda del Real holds a PhD in Quality Processes and Educational Innovation (UAB in collaboration with Essex University). She has more than ten years of experience working as teacher and researcher in the area of Educational Technology. She collaborates with several research groups (MAML-UNIR, DIM-EDU, ARMIF-URL) focused on the use of techno-pedagogical models applied to e-learning. She is currently Academic Coordinator in the Master of Inclusive and Intercultural Education at UNIR and teaches in different postgraduate programs at UNIR.

UNIR participates in the project in all work packages, as well as leading the development of a digital interactive ebook that will permit the school staff to identify their strengths and weaknesses in digital environments. This role is totally aligned with UNIR’s research focus. The Research Department of UNIR works on selected scientific and humanistic fields of study with particular focus on information and communication technologies (ICT) applied to education (Technology-Enhanced Learning). Another strong field of work and research is Innovation in education. It supports new paradigms and ways of learning enabled by TEL: Open Educational Resources, Open Course Ware, MOOCs, etc.
